Swellendam Rotary Club were privileged to host 10 members from 3 Rotary Cubs in Iceland on 15th and 16th March, first time Swellendam Rotary have had visitors from this remote part of the world.
It was a great opportunity to learn about their country, lifestyle and that they only have 2 months of summer.
During their short stay with us our guests experienced their first South African braai, held at The Hideaway, had an historic tour of Swellendam by Johan Kriek, visited Swellendam Laer Skool and the CAP workshop. I am sure they were happy to rest on the bus trip to Cape Town.
All our guests were so taken with Swellendam and one couple looked at a property to purchase.
All in all it was good Fellowship between Rotarians and good contacts to nurture.
