
Eric Koch - Tribute to a Rotarian
As Rotarians, we pay tribute to Eric Koch who in 1965, became one of the founding members of the Swellendam Rotary Club. Eric served a number of terms as the President of the club. Rotary formed a significant and important part of Eric's life. Eric was always a willing and gracious participant in Rotary activities, always assisting where possible. He initiated numerous club projects over the years and stalwartly supported the Rotary philosophy of service to the community.

Baby blankets and gift from across the waters for Swellendam Hospital.
Swellendam Hospital was delighted to receive a wonderful donation in the form of twenty seven baby blankets, knitted by the Rotary Railton Coffee Morning Project and a selection of knitted baby hats donated by Mrs Valerie Shephard who lives in Farnham Royal near Windsor in the United Kingdom. Valerie recently visited South Africa before lockdown and visited the project. Valerie enthusiastically took on the men in the Dominos game and put the men to shame. These gorgeous baby

Comfort for the Needy
Sister Hettie and her team of Community Care Workers recently receiver a selection of knitted articles for distribution to the needy in the community. These lovely items were knitted by the marvelous ladies of the Rotary Railton Coffee Morning project, all done during lockdown and most of the items made without using knitting patterns, such is their talent for knitting. Sister Hettie thanked the ladies and Rotary for the donation and their continued support of the community
